New Song, "Never Back Down" by Precious A.K.A. O.C.P.

Hello fam, up late, I finally got the studio up and running and decided to make a beat today for the first time in a while. Put some lyrics to it. It was fun. So tell me, what do you think of my song? Write me on Facebook and let me know :)

Well, I hope you enjoyed it. Go and grow, and I'll see you tomorrow :)

Work In Me

Hi it's One Crazy Poet again, and it's been a while since I been on.

I know, I missed you too :)

I had a baby, and had some trials and tribulations but God is bringing me through. I am so glad.

In the midst of it I couldn't find the right time to release another song, but I have been bumpin' to this and letting it minister to my soul for about a year now. It's another I produced and wrote, featuring Kenny Wright-Gross A.K.A. W-G who also wrote his own verse, of course. I hope you enjoy it!

Well, I hope you enjoyed it. Go and grow, and I'll see you tomorrow :)

Rhyme and Rhyme

Rhyme brings emphasis. Repetition helps remember. Time is in parenthesis. And my petitions an ascender.

I follow them on up with pretty little bubbles that fly free. I chase the cloud and find the innocence that once lived within me. I tumble freely down the mountains from the tops into the sea. The valley deep fills me with joy and I am swept off of my feet.

I float into the dancing waters and I swim beside the fish. I throw a penny in the fountain and I make my sincerest wish. Why look at life like it’s so melancholy in spite of your fact? Why look at situations and get down when life is just a splash? Too short for sorrow. Why live for tomorrow when today is now? I’m going to grab this vine and jump to that side of this jungle right now.

And you can follow me if you please. Otherwise, I’m going to have to leave. And I will rise up with the sun rays and sway slow beside the trees. And I will melt into the ocean, and make love with the color of life. And you can swallow me like a potion when you arise.

Dear Mom

Mom you called me incessantly
You missed me every day
You had a healthy hunger for my friendship
You were jealous over me
You got angry with me when I was wrong
You applauded me when I was right
You took my side
You liked me
You listened to me
You talked to me
You gave me advice
You cared
You romanced me
You took me out
You hooked me up
You favored me
You treated me special
You protected me
You guarded me
You got mad at my enemies
You held grudges against my enemies for me so I wouldn't have to do it
You held grudges against me
And then you forgave me
You apologized
You checked in
You called to make sure
You related with me
You reminded me who I am
You remembered my challenges
You cared how far I came
You cared how far I would go
You challenged me to try
You monitored my weight
You loved my kids
You asked what I cooked
You suggested things that no one else would
You taught me how to wear my perfume
You gave me perfume
You gave me hairbrushes
I wore all your clothes
You gave me your heritage
I cook your recipes
You opened my windows when I was shut in
You gave me more when you had no more
You encouraged my soul in the faith of God
You taught me appreciation
You taught me to fear God
You made mistakes
You didn't pretend
You told me the truth
While you would tell others a lie
You gave me the inside scoop
I watched from the tower
You gossiped to me
You opened up
You held things back
You were my dream
I loved you up close
I loved you from afar
I missed you like crazy
And I still need you now
I feel so deprived of your love oh Mom
You couldn't save me from sin but you just understood me
And you may not have stopped me from crying but you wiped my tears
And I miss your life every day for the rest of my years

Much Prayer, Much Power Beat

Hey you :) O.C.P. back again to share with you some new music. This track is one with a melody on it that I had playing in my soul since I was 7. When I learned how to produce beats I spent some time on it to bring it to life. I want to present it to you now, and confess that WG wanted to do a song to it called "Much Prayer, Much Power," that he may still do, in the future, but for now, this is the bones. I want you to enjoy it. Check it out:

Well, I hope you enjoyed it. Go and grow, and I'll see you tomorrow :)

Keep the Faith

After my tears, I had so many, I had to at once see
That the pain and my perception had to change within me
I am not the bearer of the burden, nor the one who wronged
I do not have evil coming to me, just because my faith was strong

It dawned on me today that many times we press with all that we have to serve God, and then at the end of it, we find ourselves in the pit or being cast into prison like Joseph. I realized that there is a truer truth behind it all. While our enemies may celebrate their victories over us, discourage us, bring us lack, and try to destroy us, God will prevail.

There is no way in God that we can actually sow good and sow good and sow good, and then reap destruction and evil. The harvest is coming, and when it does, and the winter season is over, then that harvest will be abundant!

So the key is to prepare for the best when it arrives. Expect the unexpected. Believe God. And don't stop walking the narrow path. The blessings will come to you, as long as you keep your faith!

Check out this song (one of my favorites) called Behind the Clouds by Json and go and grow! See you tomorrow :)

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." John 12:24 KJV
